Our client had recently completed building a breathtaking modern home featuring large expanses of glazing to capture natural light and maximise views of the surrounding landscape. However, with this stunning feature came an unintended consequence – excessive heat gain. During warmer months, the home became uncomfortably hot due to direct sunlight pouring through the windows, especially in the living areas.
The client was looking for a shading solution that would reduce indoor temperatures without compromising the architectural beauty of the glazing or blocking their scenic views. They needed a modern, effective, and aesthetic solution that matched the home's contemporary design. The client was also looking for an energy efficient solution that would help reduce energy costs and provide a more sustainable shading system.
Our Solution
After a detailed consultation to understand the client’s needs, we recommended fitting solar powered exterior roller screens. These screens are designed to block up to 90% of the sun's heat and UV rays, helping to keep the indoor spaces cool while maintaining natural light and visibility.
We installed two large external roller screens, custom-fitted to the dimensions of the glazing. The screens offer the ideal balance between solar protection and aesthetics.
